Old Skool Stackform Suede Lace Up Trainers

For me they need no break in period. They are a little heavy but I prefer a little weight to my shoes, plus they're platform so that's kind expected. Comfy enough for every day, but the platform I feel makes them look a little more intentional with my outfits (especially skirts). Great at concerts as they're practical but give a little extra height. OFC the upper is suede so they'll need some love if they get wet or dirty. The pair I bought recently are my second pair. The first lasted about 3 years of almost daily wear, on all terrain, in all weathers, until I finally wore through the waffle to the midsole and had water seeping up through the platform to my socks. Also worth noting I used to find I needed to go up half a size in Old Okools (from a US Womens 9 to 9.5), because the toe box is was too shallow for my toes even tho the length was right, but a few years back Vans seemed to adjust the toe box at least on the Old Skool Platform so now I can buy my regular size (W9 - same size I wear in Sk8-His and Half Cabs).

They don’t feel as comfortable as they used to years ago. Which is ironic, because the price has increased. So it’s disappointing that the quality has gone down, but they’ve continued to increase the price.

These used to be my favorite shoes, amazing design, but they don't last throughout the year. There is some serious delamination issues with the border/band that surrounds the shoe. It is attached to the rubber bottom of the shoe. It separates every single time without fail before the year is over. They don't offer refunds or replacements after six months which is ridiculous. I'm on my third and LAST pair. I will not be buying anything from Vans ever again.

I really like this version of the platform and wish the slides had a higher back as well, because that version is equally as nice. The shoes are comfortable and stylish. I love wearing them with a dress, jeans, or leggings.

I have about every type of platform sneakers you can imagine, but these are by far my favorite. They go with everything and comfortable. They are also easy to clean and make look new. Most of all, they don't act like some of the platform shoes that try to break your ankles with one wrong move! I will wear my current ones into the ground and buy them again with a smile on my face. :)

Sneakers have become high fashion these days and Van's have the 'dress casual' look people want. I just got the shoes 3 days ago and have received several compliments already!
