Not glamorous but very useful and comfortable

I bought 2 of these bras to wear after a wide local excision of one breast and they were excellent at keeping me supported. I had to wear a bra 24 hours a day for the first 2 weeks after surgery and the very soft fabric didn’t chafe at all. The wide back band even meant these bras were comfortable to sleep in. I DID GO UP FROM A ‘C’ CUP TO A ‘D’ CUP to get a comfortable fit and make sure these would cope with post op swelling. Only minor downside is that Velcro is very strong.

Bra is excellent, very soft and comfortable. I had a breast reduction and was given post surgery bras from the hospital but the M&S bras are much more comfortable. As a lot of people have said front fastening is a challenge but after wearing a few times it gets easier

Not Good for post surgery
Dear Manager I have tried wearing the post surgery bra after my surgery and I am not at all happy. I am unable to fasten the hook! The eye of the hook is very small and narrow. The nurse at the hospital helped me to wear it and she found it very difficult to fasten the hook. After a long struggle were unable to fasten the hook. It takes a long time to fasten the hook. Therefore, we just used the velcro to fasten the bra. I am unable to return it as I wore it. But regrettably I am not happy. I just use the velcro to fasten the bra! Regards Mrs Kesvani

Uncomfortable and difficult to hook up.

Really hacked off. Bought this in an anxious state after biopsy and pre surgery. It is tight, uncomfortable, with Velcro digging in, and so difficult to hook up I had to hook it first then pull it over my head which won’t work post surgery.

I'm wearing this bra following breast conservation surgery. Although I am very bruised and sore, this bra is helping to ease my discomfort by being supportive around the area. All post surgery bras carry a pocket to fit a prosthesis in, which, fortunately, I don't need. I struggled to find a suitable bra for my needs but this one stated it was a recovery bra and has proved to be effective. I bought two, which were true to my size, one white and one beige and would have purchased the black one too, had they had it stocked in my size.

I ended up ordering 6 sizes before settling on the right fit. Normally a 34G (Freya) it was a 36H that worked for me. The hooks are a bit tricky, but very difficult if the size isn't quite right. The bra is comfy and feels supportive for non wired. Still waiting for surgery so not able to comment fully yet.

Difficulty in fastening…
No, I don't recommend this
Front fastening soft fabric bra, however you need strength to unfastened the Velcro which covers the other fastenings, it’s not soft and very unforgiving and when sore from surgery it’s not easy. A double or triple row of standard bra hooks may be a much better option to determine the most comfortable fit

This bra is comfortable but ridiculously fiddly to put on. It was particularly difficult straight after surgery with limited arm movement so I had to get my husband to do it up. Surely you can come up with a better system M&S!

I purchased this for my double mastectomy with reconstruction as it has adjustable straps (unlike most others I looked at) and a zip fastening. I found it really comfortable, with soft fabric and great support.

Soft but difficult

This bra was very soft and lightly supportive, I found the 3 closing hooks very difficult to manage but after a time they have now become a little easier.The Verco at the front keeps sticking before you have fastened the hooks which is a annoying. Not my favourite !.

Incredibly comfortable and exactly what I need

Disappointing
Bought for post surgery. My wound was under my breast and the bottoml band needed to be much wider as it dug in most uncomfortably. Also the front opening hooks were so difficult to do that I used the method most women use by doing them up first and slipping bra over my head
