Red Velvet Perfection
Yes, I recommend this
After looking for someone local to make me a Birthday Cake, I gave up! I didn't realise I could order one from M&S, and go pick it up. We went down to the M&S Food Hall, on the day notified and picked it up at a counter in the back of the store. The place looked very inviting, and I'll have to go back sometime, to check it out. The cake was beautifully presented in a sturdy box , and it stayed fresh for a very long time. The frosting was Butter Cream, and very rich and tasty. There was enough cake for many more people than I have in my house. (2) My husband usually doesn't like cake that much, but he liked this one! I would recommend Marks and Spencer for your bakery needs !

The cake was nice, very sweet and other than the sweetness, it lacked flavour. Looked nice for the birthday girl though.

Good quality but doesn't taste like red velvet.
We bought this to have in addition to the vintage party cake which we used for our main wedding cake. Red velvet is my favorite, but the flavor was disappointing on the M&S interpretation of red velvet. Given how high quality most things are at M&S, I was bummed the flavor on their red velvet cake was lacking. The cake wasn't bad at all, it just didn't taste like red velvet. Quality and details were there, just not the right flavor.

Melt in your mouth Birthday Cake.
Yes, I recommend this
After buying numerous Birthday cakes for occasions and not exactly 100% happy with them, we decided to buy a M&S cake for the next celebration. Wow I am so glad I did as it was not only beautiful to look at, it tasted amazing !! So moist and the cream tasted delicious. It was plenty for the guests at the party and everyone said how tasty it was. I would definitely buy again and recommend.

The best red velvet cake!
Yes, I recommend this
I bought this cake for my husbands birthday and a big celebration with friends … the cake was fresh, moist, not at all dry and one of the best red velvet cakes I’ve tasted. He loved it and as Red Velvet is his favourite that’s saying something…

Expected more flavour.
No, I don't recommend this
I usually love the birthday cakes from M&S, but I was a little disappointed with the red velvet cake. I was expecting it to have more flavour. It wasn't bad, just okay, but honestly, I wouldn't buy it again.
