Cute but not water repellent

Originally posted on Nike

This jacket is really cute - the color is great and it’s very comfortable as far is the stretch etc. BUT. It is NOT water repellent. It runs true to size in my opinion; slim fit for under a running vest but not squeezy at all. Hood stays on when the cord is pulled, even without a toggle. But after 25 minutes in a very light rain I was soaked through. If it had been 50 degrees I would have been freezing. In a downpour, it might last 10 minutes. I can’t return it, unfortunately and it’s probably nice for a chilly spring or fall day on a hike or whatever. But now I do have to buy ANOTHER jacket. I’m glad I tested it before my long race!

Not white but cream

Originally posted on Nike

Loved this jacket… BUT, sadly the colour of the white wasn’t white. It’s a milky cream. Really disappointing as I wanted it to be a bright white. Sadly returned it.

Love it

Originally posted on Nike

I got this as a gift and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. It’s so comfortable to run in and it is so light and easy to pack. If I could change one thing, I would have loved thumb holes but other than that 10/10.

Color Bleeds in the Rain

Originally posted on Nike

I purchased this jacket in black. On the positive side, I do like the fit and look of this lightweight jacket. Unfortunately, the first time I wore the jacket it was raining and the color bled all around the collar and sleeves and ruined the Lululemon sweatshirt I had underneath (see picture). I would not recommend wearing in the rain despite this jacket being marketed as water-repellent. If you do, make sure you wash it first and do not wear with light colors or anything you like too much.

Beautiful Jacket

Originally posted on Nike

Beautifully made jacket. Fabric is not too heavy and not as thin as Nike's Impossibly Light running jacket. Red? Not a true red more of an orange red. Nice jacket. I buy large as my shoulders don't fit in Nike's medium size jackets or tops.

Perfect for Running

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this jacket. It’s an extremely lightweight jacket, very thin. It has a little stretchy to it. Once it’s on, you’re able to move around freely without any constriction. All this makes this jacket perfect for anyone that runs or jogs. There are 2 zipper pockets on the outside and inside pockets as well. The hood has drawstrings so you’re able to tighten it if needed. I got the size XL but I would say the jacket fits more like a large. So runs about a size smaller. Overall the jacket is comfortable and a perfect addition for someone that moves around a lot.

Comfortable and versatile jacket

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is perfect for running in cooler weather, but is versatile and stylish enough for everyday wear. The fact that it’s packable, waterproof, and has UV protection also makes it perfect for hiking and trail running. The fabric is super unique - I’ve never felt anything quite like it, and it’s really comfortable to wear. Extremely lightweight, but still provides protection in cooler weather. It fits very true to size, and I love that it has a good length, both in the body and the sleeves, as I’ve frequently run into issues with too short of sleeves in other athletic jackets I’ve tried in the past. I think it looks really sleek, and it’s perfect for going out and about generally or for a workout. This will definitely be my go to jacket this spring, both for running and for other outdoor activities.

Women’s Most Versatile Jacket

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Swift Women’s Repel Packable Running Jacket is one of the most versatile jackets that I own. As a busy mother of four, this jacket has already been worn by me in a variety of different circumstances. It has helped keep me dry during an early morning run in the rain. Its wrinkle free feature and UV protection made it the perfect jacket to pack in my bag for a play date at the zoo. It has also been the perfect layering jacket for a warm up on the treadmill when I have needed to work out inside because of snowy conditions. The adjustable closures allow for a very personalized fit. This allowed me to have great range of motion while wearing the jacket. The fabric of the jacket was breathable and the venting features helped keep me cool and dry. The design of this jacket is my favorite feature. It truly was made to provide protection to the person wearing it in a variety of different situations and climates. I love that I can wear it in my snowy hometown, but still take it with me on a vacation to a sunny destination. The only thing that I would consider changing on this jacket would be the adjustable features. The adjustable closures would occasionally hit me in the face while I was running. I would recommend this jacket to any women who is on the search for a versatile jacket.

Light Running Jacket!

It was a perfect light running jacket, especially for an indoor run in the winter or a nice summer night run! I loved how it had some small reflectors on the arms and back for light to catch and be seen! I also loved the small whistle that is a great safety feature to have, if ever needed. The overall feel of the jacket was great. I also liked the UPF 40+ protection. Overall, it a great lightweight running jacket, but can be used for many purposes, even everyday wear!

Great for running!

I had been wanting a jacket that was light enough for when I’m just getting started with my warm ups but not too heavy to tie around my waist 15-20 minutes into a jog or walk. The material is very comfortable and breathable. I felt the fit was true to size.

The jacket I didn’t know I needed

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nike Swift Women's Repel Packable Running Jacket is my new go-to-jacket. I live in Los Angeles, and a light jacket is almost always what our weather calls for year-round. I’ve now worn this for early morning gym sessions, evening walks with my family, out in the rain, and even a day at Disneyland. It was the right choice every time. The jacket is very light weight, but still provides warmth for cooler temperatures. I appreciate that it offers UV protection too. For once I was glad to get caught in the rain as I was able to see the water repelling features in action. I was slightly damp, but mostly dry afterward and so happy to have had a hood! The cut is very flattering, slightly rounded and longer in the back hitting just below my rear when standing still. Some other favorite features are the elastic around the wrists — not tight, but keeps the sleeves where I like them; the reflective detail on the sleeves and back, which my toddler thought was so cool on our walk; and the whistle that made me feel safe heading to the gym while it’s still dark out. I really appreciate that Nike created this with 75% recycled fabrics. It makes me feel extra good about wearing it! I’m packing for a trip next weekend, and this jacket is the first thing on my list.

Protection and comfort without the extra bulk

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is a lightweight, weather-resistant layer designed for runners who need protection without extra bulk. Here’s my breakdown of its fit, feel, design, fabric, and overall performance. Fit & Feel The jacket has a relaxed but slightly tapered fit, making it comfortable without feeling too boxy. The elasticated cuffs and adjustable hem help keep it snug, which is great for blocking out wind. One of my favorite things about it is that the fabric is stretchy, making it incredibly comfortable to move in. Even if you size down for a more fitted look, I’m sure it will still feel great and will not restrict movement. Design Nike kept things sleek and minimal, which I love. The packable feature is a major plus—you can fold it into its own pocket, making it easy to carry when the weather shifts. The zippered pockets are a great touch for holding small essentials. Reflective details add a nice safety element for evening or early morning runs. One of the most unique and thoughtful features is the built-in whistle attached to the collar. It even has a little pocket to tuck it into when not in use, which is such a smart detail for safety. Fabric The water-repellent fabric does a solid job of keeping light rain out without feeling stiff or plasticky. It also offers UV protection, which I absolutely love for those sunny runs. The stretchy material makes it extra comfortable and allows for full mobility while running or layering. Sustainability – Move to Zero One thing I truly appreciate is Nike’s Move to Zero journey, which focuses on sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint. This jacket is made with at least 50% recycled materials, which makes me feel even better about wearing it. It’s great to see brands making an effort toward eco-friendly fashion without compromising quality or performance. What I Liked Most •The packability is a standout feature—perfect for on-the-go storage. •Lightweight and comfortable, with enough room to layer underneath. •Weather-resistant without feeling heavy. •Stylish yet functional design with reflective details. •UV protection is a great bonus for sunny outdoor runs. •The ventilation on the upper back allows better airflow and helps keep me cool. •The stretchy fabric makes it super comfortable, even if you size down for a snugger fit. •The built-in whistle for safety is a fantastic touch, and the little pocket to tuck it away is genius. •Made with at least 50% recycled materials, supporting Nike’s sustainability efforts. What I Would Change •While the upper-back ventilation is great, I’d love even more breathability—maybe underarm vents or additional mesh panels. •The fit runs a little loose, so a more tailored cut might be better for some runners. •Hood adjustability could be improved to keep it in place on windy days. Final Verdict This jacket is a fantastic choice for runners who want a lightweight, protective layer that’s easy to carry. The UV protection, upper-back ventilation, and stretchy fabric make it even better for comfort and performance. The built-in whistle is a unique and thoughtful safety feature, and I love that it’s made with at least 50% recycled materials as part of Nike’s Move to Zero journey. While a little extra breathability and a more adjustable hood would be nice, this jacket is a great blend of function, comfort, style, and sustainability.

Nice basic athletic jacket

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material feels really nice, relatively lightweight, and lightly stretchy. It is super packable and folds down really nicely! I am pretty new to running, so I don't have very much gear and I really needed a jacket for the early morning chilly runs. This also means I don't have very much to compare this to, but I'm pretty happy with the quality of the jacket. I've been using this jacket in as low as 40F runs. It's just enough to take off the chill before warming up, but not so warm that I'm sweating or dying to take it off by the end of my run. I can easily see myself continuing to wear this as it warms up a bit into the spring and maybe early summer, because it is extremely breathable and lightweight. The start of the zipper feels a bit flimsy and can take me a few tries to really clasp together and zip up, but once I got past that it was fine. There is also no mention of the little built in whistle on the drawstring, which is a cute little addition. Not the best whistle I've ever used, but it would do in an emergency situation!

I’m in a women’s XL because I have a large bust (38 G) and this jacket fit incredibly. The materials are so silky soft, and match all my outfits. You can dress this jacket up, or perfect for a jog. I love how big the hood is for coverage, and the pockets are incredibly deep and fit my massive phone. The length is perfect too. Not super long, and not a crop top — just right!

So comfy!

I intended to use it for outdoor workouts, but it might just become my go-to lightweight jacket. It fits well (which due to my body shape can be a challenge with jackets,) allows easy movement for my arms and has a deep hood that stays up with movement. I enjoyed the built in security whistle, though hopefully will never need it! The fabric packs well, doesn’t wrinkle, and repels water for any surprise showers during outdoor activities. I do wish the hood pulls were a bit easier to tighten while running, but it’s such a minor issue for me.

Typical running jacket

Originally posted on Nike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't had much time with this running jacket. First impressions, it wasn’t anything special. It has the typical features: hood, vented back, elastic at the waist and some reflectors. Fabric is lightweight and stretchy, but the cut was not very flattering to my body type. Wish it was something a little bit longer, not necessarily to cover my butt, but where it was cut off wasn’t cute. Made me look boxy :( I did like the zipper pockets. They were actually a decent size and could zip up my massive phone up easily. It does have inner pockets as well, which is a nice surprise! It did have a whistle built inside, which I thought was pretty neat. Never seen that before. It is attached with a little bungee and has a small pocket as well at the upper left chest, so it gave me a little extra sense of comfort with a woman running alone near dusk. Tag also says UPF 40+ and was made with 75% recycled fibers. I did get this coat wet once and it does repel really well. Water droplets rolled off quickly, to help keep me dry. Very impressed with that. Overall, the Nike Swift does have some nice features, but due to the unflattering cut, it won’t be making it in my normal rotation

Amazing! Favorite New Jacket

Originally posted on Nike

It’s ultra light weight and I find any excuse to pack it and wear it! It’s true to size and the fit is perfect. The elastic arm cuffs are different, where there is an extra elastic strip making it really comfortable for everyday wear or heavier exercising. I also like that the inside pocket area is sewn completely so if you need it there is additional pocket space inside the jacket.
